Lake Hamilton Water Sports is located in sunny Central Florida and specializes in one on one Slalom instruction. We teach all levels, from beginner to elite. We have a perfect, homologated slalom course at our site. Our slalom teaching techniques are second to none and our many repeat students will testify to the value of our innovative methods of teaching. Our specialist slalom teaching enables our students to see noticeable improvements in their first day of skiing. Many of them go on to obtain personal bests in their next competition, either in their own country or in competitions in the USA.
Our Student Skiers said it.
"I have been waterskiing for 25 years, but I
learned more in two days at Lake
Hamilton Water Sports with Phil Hughes than in my whole 25 years of
experience. I can't wait to go back and learn more and get to the next
level.
- Bob Douglass, Boothwyn, PA"
"with the vast choice of ski schools available in Florida, I wouldn't go anywhere else than Lake Hamilton"
"Phil's coaching skills are unique and are presented in a very friendly and easily understandable way"
"I never believed I would see so much improvement in both my ability and technique in such a short space of time"
We use only Correct Craft boats - and Perfect Pass speed control systems. We use video recording to help our students analyze their skiing frame by frame, to help their performance.
We show below a few tips on taking lessons at ski school which may interest some of you.
Water Skiing is an acquirable skill. It is no different than learning to type, draw or play a musical instrument. However it must be learned in steps and stages.
A lesson is not a test. Don't concern yourself with how you look to the teacher. Just relax and be yourself.
Be prepared and understand that the learning process takes time.
Don't be mislead by what you "think" you feel you are doing when you ski. Review your self on the video and see how much difference there is between what you feel and reality.
Never think "this feels awkward" when trying something new. Instead think "this feels new and I must give my self time to get used to it."
When working on a new suggestion, don't be discouraged by not getting it right immediately. Bad Passes are all part of the learning experience.
Understand that you cannot always ski your best. Even the best have off days and bad passes
Don't feel shortchanged if you only work on one or two things during a lesson.
Beware of friends wanting to help, when you get home. This usually just tends to confuse, hamper and slow the learning process.
